Sharing: The practice of sharing beliefs, experiences, wisdom, knowledge and Divine attributes leaves room for freedom of interpretation. It allows for an acceptance of difference — to respect others’ right to arrive at their own conclusions, especially when they are based on a combination of deep reflection, true knowledge and personal experience. It embraces the whole of spiritual growth, and encourages ourselves and others to expand our beliefs to encompass all.
Embodying: The practice of embodiment means living our truth in every moment. It is not an escape from life, but finding and opening to the qualities of good within us, the spiritual in all things, actualising our beliefs, manifesting our creative and compassionate abilities and wisdom in everyday day life.
An eternal spiritual existence: The great wisdom traditions all teach of another Reality to everyday material existence, which is forever present for us to discover. Yet within each tradition there are invariably different interpretations which will need to be explored and individually reflected upon in order to arrive at our own understanding; for our development ultimately lies in our own hands and is our responsibility.
To grow towards: Growth is an ever-expanding spiral that gradually opens us to encompass the numerous areas of spirituality. We cannot achieve everything at once. Therefore, we need to be true to and gentle on ourselves and know and accept our humanity, in all dimensions, in order to healthily move forward without imposing unrealistic demands about how we should be. Wholesome changes are brought about naturally through ongoing work on the many facets of our nature and by including all as a spiritual whole.
The greatest wisdom: The one thread that runs through all the great wisdom traditions is to care for one another, to love our neighbours, to find unity in diversity and promote peace where and whenever the opportunity arises. |
