Founders, Glyn Edwards and Santoshan (Stephen Wollaston), who are both known for doing excellent work in different areas that have promoted interspirituality, wanted to pay tribute to the memory of Gordon M Higginson, who advocated an inclusive wisdom that drew on more than one tradition, and was one of the UK’s greatest spiritual teachers and intuitives and a close friend to both of them.
Permission was given to use Gordon's name for the Fellowship by his sister, Hazel Goodwin. Both Hazel and her daughter Lesley have responded enthusiastically about the direction the Fellowship is taking, and written to say how much they like the Unfoldments and how pleased Gordon Higginson would have been with the inclusive aims of the of the Fellowship. They have also sent their best wishes for all that the Fellowship is planning.
The word ‘fellowship’ was specifically chosen for its meaning: (a) friendliness and companionship based on shared interest; (b) a group of people who meet to pursue and share common aims or interest. |
